I’m Hazel Main and I run Hazel8500, a personal blog where I write about societal violence, the Canadian Missing Women’s cases, Environmentalism, art and pretty much whatever else I feel like.
After a lot of consideration, I’ve begun this blog as a response to the overwhelming interest Hazel8500′s Dubie Thread has generated.
Here’s the short version:
Last year a woman shot a man outside a restaurant in Thailand.
Since then, a number of people have come forward with stories of gross abuse perpetrated by this couple.
It appears, that the man George Patrick Dubie was a conman of a caliber rarely seen. He was a womaniser, a journalist, film maker, international activist, fraudster, liar, abuser, alleged pornographer even. And further, one of his closest associates is linked to the disappearance of a young woman from San Fransisco. Her name is Kristen Modaferri and you can read more about her, and the connections to George Patrick Dubie here.
I’ve begun a blog roll in the side bar gathering together sources and sites that may each have a bit of the puzzle.

I am “Hawaiianeyes”. I was quite close to Daniel Dubie for years (he had me call him Ahamed and claimed to be a prince from Dubai) . He called me just weeks before his death.
Since his death, I have finally gotten so many answers to the questions that plagued me for years. This free fall of information has freed me from his deceptions and led me to meet many other “LOVE OF MY LIFE” targets of his. We have shared our stories on various other sites- Thaivisa, Hazel 8500 etc. The information to come out in the past 9 months has liberated us and exposed many disturbing patterns that mark his life.
Still there are major gaps and questions. I am committed to a contiuned effort to push forward with the hope of reaching others whose lives were appropriated by this individual to serve his dubious “PLAN”. He told me to be patient and to have faith in him and his “PLAN”. Clearly that was a mistake. The human toll of trusting in his Plan is now coming to light in the individual narratives of those who have stepped forward.
My pseudonym “Hawaiianeyes” is based on my long standing approach to keep my eyes open. Even when I did not know the meaning of his multiple identities, Swiss accounts, credit cards, 2,3 and 4 am driving requests, names and addresses I kept track. Now, so many years later many of these puzzle pieces are falling into place in this free fall of information since his death. “Hawaiianeyes” also refers to his eyes and his Hawaiian origins. My purpose in the end was to fervently battle with him to open his mesmerizing eyes to the lies of his own life and to renounce that life of lies. My battle failed but the larger war against the deceptions he cast over so many in his life continues to motivate me to reach out.
